SUPPORTS LOCAL YOUTH AT THE JR. LIVESTOCK AUCTION
The Trinity County Fair Livestock Auction took place on July 12, 2025, followed by the Humboldt County Fair Junior Livestock Auction on August 24, 2025. At these events, individuals and organizations were able to contribute additional support through add-on bids. This year, Compass Community Credit Union was honored to back seven student participants, all of whom are credit union members. Proceeds from the auctions help students reinvest in future projects or set aside funds for their education. Participants may compete independently or through programs such as FFA, 4-H, and Grange.
“I am honored we could once again support the Junior Livestock Auction by providing add-on bids to seven Compass member students,” said Compass Community Credit Union CEO, Ray Litchfield. “The dedication these students put into raising their animals is remarkable. Their year-long commitment not only prepares them for auction day but also instills lifelong skills they will carry into their futures.”
Compass Community Credit Union serves members in Humboldt, Del Norte and Trinity counties. Membership is open to anyone who lives, works or worships in these three counties. For over 74 years, Compass Community Credit Union has been providing financial solutions to their members. For more information, visit Compassccu.org.
Compass Community Credit Union Supports Local Youth at the Jr. Livestock Auction
COMPASS COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION
Eureka, CA—Compass Community Credit Union proudly supported local youth by providing add-on bids for the Junior Livestock Auctions at both the Trinity County Fair and the Humboldt County Fair. Student projects included raising steers, goats, and hogs—an effort that requires participants to purchase, feed, and care for their animals before they are judged, graded, and sold at auction.
