COMPASS COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION HOLDS ANNUAL COSTUME DRIVE TO HELP LOCAL KIDS CELEBRATE HALLOWEEN
Eureka, CA – Compass Community Credit Union recently held a costume drive with the City of Eureka to help local kids celebrate Halloween. Like new costumes for kids 0 to 17 were collected from staff and members. Compass and the City of Eureka worked together to ensure every child had a chance to dress up and enjoy the magic of Halloween.
“Celebrating Halloween is about dressing up and feeling the spirit of Halloween. Costumes can be expensive, and so we want to make sure every child in our community gets to feel that happiness without parents worrying about economic stress,” said Ray Litchfield, President and CEO of Compass.
Members and staff were asked to drop off donations at any Compass branch, and they answered the call. In addition, Compass presented a check for $300 that could be used for additional costumes, based on requests from local kids.
Litchfield said, “Thank you to our members and the community, you made a difference, and your support means the world to our local kids!”
